Kramer of New York Collectible Costume Jewelry

This was a high end costume jewelry company founded by Louis Kramer in 1943 in New York City. He named the company "Kramer Jewelry Creations". Their well designed pieces specialized in rare stones, quality rhinestones, and beads which many times were incorporated into figural and whimsical pins. During the peak years of the company, 1950's through 1960's, Kramer made jewelry for Christian Dior. These pieces are highly sought after and therefore valuable collectibles. The business sadly closed its doors in 1980 because of cultural changes which were looking for more natural type jewelry instead of the striking glamorous statement making jewelry which Kramer was so famous for.

Excellent Vintage Condition. Dimensions: 1 1/4 inches in length by 3/4 inches in wide. Ring Size is 5.5.
A beautiful sterling silver ring with 2 coral cabochons designed by the Zuni artist Carmelita Simplicio who lives in Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico. Artfully handcrafted with a medium sized silver drop in the center, 2 coral cabochons 1/2 inch in length each, surrounded by two intricately carved silver leaves and 4 elegant small silver drops. Hallmarked "simplicio, Sterling".

Carmelita stamps her surname in Gothic print to distinguish herself from other members of the Simplicio family. She specializes in nugget settings and gorgeous foliate designs.

One of Charlotte Dishta's most famous design concepts is the rug pattern which she incorporates into rings, bracelets, belt buckles and bolo ties. This particular piece is called the "STORM" Rug Pattern. What a fantastic example of exceptional Zuni craftmanship.

Very Good Vintage Condition. Looks like the ring might have been resized to a Size 8.
Beautiful inlay ring that was designed and handcrafted by Charlotte Dishta in one of her signature Navajo Rug Designs. This particular piece has 27 handcut stones intricately inlaid which include blue turquoise, jet, coral and mother of pearl.
Hallmarked "C. Dishta, Zuni, Sterling". Weighs 2.7 grams.

Continuing from yesterday's post on the symbolism and effects of wearing certain colors today I am going to discuss the color of green.

Wearing green helps to activate growth, balance and harmony in your life. It's a color of happy, healthy relationships. The heart chakra contains the color of green which deals with the higher consciousness and love.

If you are feeling out of balance or the need for a change toss a little green into your life. Especially wear this color on a day when you need the courage and freedom to pursue new ideas or trying out a new activity.

I am personally drawn to the color of green in my clothing choices and was happy to find out that another ability it has is the protection from fears and anxieties connected with the demands of others.
